God is the creator of this world and You!

He created us to love and worship Him but each one of us has chosen to live lives our own way. We have all sinned and done many things that are wrong and selfish.

God’s law demands that those who live for themselves, rebelling against Him and sinning in thought and deed, deserve the punishment of death and banishment from His presence.

But God loves His creation and sent Jesus His Son to suffer and die on a cross, a historical event, in Jerusalem nearly 2000 years ago. The death of Jesus was a substitution for our death; it was a payment for the penalty of our sin. He died in our place.

God has said that whoever

Believes: To have faith that believes and as a result decides to follow Jesus
Repents: Is truly sorry for their sin and rebellion and decides to serve God rather than themselves.
Submits: Makes Jesus the Lord of their lives – God is now in charge of your life.

Will be saved from death and be given, as a free gift, eternal life

What Must I Do to be Saved?
The first thing to do is to talk to God.
You need to admit before him that you have rebelled against him, that you deserve punishment, and that you’re asking for mercy on the basis of Jesus’ death in your place.
You’ll also need to ask God to help you change from being a rebel to being someone who lives with Jesus as their ruler.
You could pray something like this:

Dear God

I know that I am not worthy to be accepted by you. I don’t deserve your gift of eternal life. I am guilty of rebelling against you and ignoring you. I need forgiveness.

Thank you for sending your Son to die for me that I may be forgiven. Thank you that He rose from the dead to give me new life.

Please forgive me and change me, that I may live with Jesus as my ruler. Amen
