About The Author

Living in Walsall in the West Midlands UK. Married with two children still at home and a further 4 who have chosen their own paths in life. My youngest child “Jadon” has Autism and has a developmental age of about 2 despite being 6. He is a great blessing, full of joy and love, teaching my family and I just how important those qualities are.

I’m 44 and have been a follower of Jesus Christ since the age of 21. Over the years I’ve had to change my mind on matters of biblical doctrine as I’ve studied the Word and recognised that many of my strongly held beliefs were more to do with what others had taught me rather than being led by the Spirit in the study of the Word.

These beliefs do not prevent me from having fellowship with brothers and sisters who think otherwise and I hope that they will afford me the grace and mercy to do the same.

I love reading, especially the views of those who I don’t always or at first agree with.

I’m currently in “The Wilderness” and looking for ”The Church”

There’s much more to tell and to learn, I hope some of that’s found on this blog.

Some quick facts:

Original Sin – I blindly accepted this in my early years but have now left this behind as unbiblical.

Tithing – I’m confident that this is a legalistic principle which finds no place in the New Testament life of faith for the church.

Lords Supper – This is clearly a full fellowship meal and not a token snack with a sip of wine or grape juice. Why don’t we try the biblical feast?

End Times – If I had to describe myself it would be ”Partial Preterist”. Do I believe in a 7 year tribulation – No!

Calvinist or Arminian – Don’t like either term but I’m most definately not in agreement with Calvin or Augustine. I have a substituionary view of the Atonement which places me nearer the Arminian camp – if I have to be in someone’s camp!
